Lucescu is pressed

Articol de Constantin Popescu   —  joi, 27 noiembrie 2008

The newspaper "Fotomac" wrote that the Romanian coach made an agreement with Galatasaray, but he is also wanted by Lokomotiv Moscova

Mircea Lucescu will leave soon Şahtior Doneţk. Without the entire support of the players, criticized and even threatened, by the supporters, he decided to put an end to the relation which has been lasting since May 2004 and marked by 7 trophies. His future is not yet decided. Because he excludes a return in Romania as a coach, the Romanian gambles on the offers from "abroad", which really exist.

"Pre-contract with Galata"

Turkey has wanted "Luce" for a long time. Fenerbahce, Beşiktaş and Galatasaray, they all tried to take him. The last one would have won the battle. Sick of the German Skibbe’s misfire, the chiefs Cim Bom are sure that only the Romanian can save the team, which is on the 5th place in the championship. They convinced him to return from January at "Ali Sami Yen", where he also trained between 2000 and 2002, winning the Europe Super cup and the title.

The newspaper "Fotomac" does not have doubts. "Pre-contract with Galata", wrote yesterday on the first page, giving also details: "Agreement of 3 years and an annual wage of 1, 5 millions euro". There are also stipulated special bonuses, such as 500.000 euro if he wins UEFA Cup (competition in which Galata plays now) and 750.000 euro for a success in Champions League.

The temptation called Lokomotiv

Russia is another country where Lucescu is wanted as a coach. After Zenit (variant which is not available anymore because Advocaat decided to continue) Lokomotiv asks with insistence about the coach of 63 years old, the team where Cociş plays. Lokomotiv have just finished the championship only on the 7th place, just like it happen in 2007, and they can qualify in Europe only if they take the Cup, where they will meet ŢSKA in the "quarters".

Disappointed, the president Nikolai Naumov announced: "We must made serious changes!". The first one is related to the demission of the coach Raşid Rahimov, and the main candidate meant to replace him, is considered Mircea Lucescu. The leadership of the railway club decides already to support the hire of the Romanian no matter what the costs would be and they started the negotiations. They are waiting for an answer at the earliest in middle of the next week.

3 millions euro is the annual wage which Mircea Lucescu has at Şahtior
