Cristi Chivu sees the matches with Serbia and Austria as real finals which must be won, if we want to qualify for the World 2010

The captain of the Romanian national football team, Cristi Chivu, declared last evening, on a phone call at sport.ro: "I see the matches with Serbia and Austria just like some finals! We want all the points! Both matches are important and we need to win in order to have big chances to the qualification. If we don’t struggle on the field, we won’t qualify. It is good for us that we didn’t meet Serbia this autumn because they play very well, we should be afraid of them, they play and they have good results". We’ll play with Serbia in Constanţa, on March, 28 and we’ll meet Austria on April 1st in Klagenfurt.

What does the player from Inter Milan, Chivu want in 2009? "Everything! The title in Italy, Champions League, we don’t neglect not even Italy’s Cup. Mourinho wants trophies, he is ambitious, he wants performance in all the competitions, as we all want". The defender from Inter Milan is agitated: "Both I and Adelina are looking forward the birth of our little girl at the end of February. If I were in the training camp at that moment, I would leave because my family is the most important. I have always worked with people who understood me. If I were in the locker room, before the match, then I could enter on the field, as I already did in other delicate moments".
