### Ghioane says that Hagi’s retirement, the t-shirt of the "King" didn’t find a suitable wearer

### The midfielder of Dinamo Kiev thinks that Mutu has hardly helped the national team in the last 10 years

The player of 29 years old laments the destiny of the Romanian representative from the period after Hagi: "After he had finished the career, the Romanian football entered in a free fall"

Very relaxed. This way appeared Ghioane yesterday at the daily press release organized in the training camp of the national team from Austria. The midfielder from Kiev had a crusty discourse and he didn’t hesitate to speck honestly about delicate subject regarding the national team.

- Tibi, what kind of player do you think the national team needs?

- I think that, when Gică Hagi finished his career, the Romanian football is in a free fall. We saw how determined he was in the twenty years of his career. You play in a different manner when you start the game with 1-0, when you have a genius player who scored from nothing and he gives goal passes. .

- Dou you think that Hagi could have changed the face of this team?

- I don’t know whether Hagi could have changed the face of this team, but a player of his type, as is Messi today, can make the difference anytime.  Unfortunately, after Gică retired, we could have also retired the T-shirt with no. 10, because we hadn’t lost anything. (Cristi Tănase, the owner of no. 10 from the national team was near Ghioane).

- Do you think that the situation would have been different in the match with Macedonia with Mutu on the field?

- It is hard to believe. Adrian has played at the national team in the last 10 years, and unfortunately, he has hardly helped us. I was to only one final tournament, where you know very well how we presented!

"I don’t know where they have from so much optimism for the future preliminaries. I think we should be realistic. We have a serious group. France is clearly the favorite, and we will fight for the second place"

Tiberiu Ghioane, midfielder Romania

"Every summer we watch TV and we think that we should be world champions. It’s not the case to lie ourselves. There are players who are too much boasted, including at the national team"

Tiberiu Ghioane, midfielder Romania

"Wants to make a group, but it is very hard when there are always missing 6-7 players from different reasons. I don’t know how many titles are remained from the first match with Lithuania"

Tiberiu Ghioane, midfielder Romania

20 selections at the national team has Tiberiu Ghioane: 2 goals scored

"I am in a slow fall"

Cristi Tănase, the man who wears now the t-shirt with no. 10, was near Ghioane when the midfielder of Kiev was talking about the retirement of that t-shirt. He had no reaction, but he made then a declaration which set laughs in the room: "It is clear that I am in a slow fall!". He continued: "I hope to recover and not because I play with no. 10 or because people expect from me to make them forget Mutu".

Eight players wearing no. 10 at the last preliminaries!

After Hagi’s retirement, the main heir of no. 10 at the national team was Adrian Mutu. Besides him, the t-shirt migrated for a while to many players such as: Cătălin Munteanu, Alin Stoica, Fl. Petre, Cernat, Pleşan, M. Niculae, Fl. Costea. The climax was accomplished in the preliminaries of WC 2010, when the national team had eight players wearing no. 10 in ten matches!
