Liga 1's big surprise - Gaz Metan in the lead, Eric top goalscorer

Plesca stopped Balan and Curelea, and Gaz Metan scored on all their opportunities.

Gaz Metan - Sportul  began carefully as if the two teams expected a jury deliberation to take the lead. Markovici (2.04 meters) made things clear from the start of the match. Liga 1 top scorer, Brazilian Eric made his work, Selymes's players relaxed and the Serbian defender was unmarked and easily headed the ball into the left side of the goal.

Balan and Varga tried to show the virtues of their team, but Medias defended. The first mistake could have produced problems for Medias (28). Ciupe crossed from the right side, Lazar failed to clear the ball, but Tibi Balan shot in Plesca from 7 meters. The goalkeeper had a  providential intervention at Curelea's shot (49), then cleared a free kick shot from Balan (54).

Medias replied on counterattack. Pirvulescu found Alex Muntean and the midfielder shot under the cross bar (59). The score  turned 2-0 and ”The Crazy Gang” received a lesson in pragmatism from the teacher Cristi Pustai. Eric increased the difference with a beautiful shot from a free kick (67). At the end of the match, Medias took the lead in the Romanian Liga I!
