Seven time Grand Slam winner Mats Wilander was the star of the show, even though Ilie Năstase was present too.
The Center Court didn't move in the sky but it was filled with stars last night. Tennis stars. 5.000 fans were present in the stands to watch the incredible show organized by Enel.
Team of champions
On one side we had Henri Leconte (47 years) and Mansour Bahrami (54 years), specialists in the doubles game and on the other side we had Ilie Nastase and Mats Wilander (46 years), both former number 1 players. Wilanders has his own show now on Eurosport, "Game, Set & Mats".
After a couple of games, the show began. Leconte showed his magic with the ball, Bahrami was hitting the ball from every possible position. Mats didn't make any mistakes, while Nastase was the one having fun.
"Nasty", the oldest, but the youngest
At 64 years, Ilie Năstase was the oldest player on the court. His soul is still young! He even came to the match on a scooter. You'd only give him 30 if you look at his legs. By the way, one of the betrayed him. "Foot fault!" shouted one of the linesmen when he was serving. Mats immeadiatly reacted and send a ball towards her. Joking, of course! Score? It really doesn't matter!
"I enjoyed playing with these guys. I'm glad that I got to play with Nastase because he was one of my idols"
