Romania won yesterday for the second time in a row the World Cup by defeating Norway in the final.

Romania defeated Norway in the final just like in 2009. The two teams also met in the group stage when Romania managed to come back from a 7 goal lead winning the match. Norway was in control in the final leading right from the start, but the game was tied at half time.

Romania was back in the second half more confident. Melinda Geiger and Ada Moldovan were in top shape, managing to slowly get the game moving in their favour.

Paula! Paula!
The final moments were dramatic. Romania pulled up  a four goal lead with seven minutes left to go, but the olimpic champions managed to get three goals back. Radu Voina quickly called for a time out. He asked the girls to be calm and to watch out for Norway's center. Winning play! Oana Manea missed a counterattack and Ada Moldovan failed to score from 7 metres! Paula Ungureanu was there everytime to save the day.

România won 24-23 winning for the second year in a row the World Cup. The girls also received 25.000 euros.
