Cluj hit the post twice on "Olimpico", but was defeated in just two minutes with the goals scored by Mexes and Borriello.

Stadio Olimpico seems a modern Colosseum. 20.000 romans await the gladiators to enter the arena. Two years ago the Romanian surprised Europe with a sensational win. First time in the Champions League, CFR Cluj was lead by Culio to victory in Rome. The Argentinian was now feared and respected by the roman players and Claudio Ranieri. "Draculio" didn't repeat his executions from back in 2008.

SuperNuno

Italienii couldn't handle another humiliation and wanted to win this time. Lobonţ  almost got CFR in the lead after he made a bad pass straight to Emil Dică, but the Romanian midfielder didn't hit the target. Traore had the biggest chance to score in the first half, hitting the post after passing Burdisso.

Roma had a fantastic ending in the first half, but Nuno Claro made Cîrţu proud. Vucinici  missed about three chances to score and Totti really managed to get the best out of Nuno Claro.

Nightmare

Traore hit the post a second time with a wonderful shot from outside the penalty area. The dream was shattered when Cîrţu's defense failed at a corner taken by Pizarro. Mexes got the ball in the area and easily scored.

Just two minutes later Marco Borriello made it 2-0 after a great pass from De Rossi. Rada's goal managed to increased the tenssion of the game, but it ended 2-1 for AS Roma.
